Binance Founder CZ Makes a Statement About the “Memecoin Season” – Which Altcoin Did He Mean?
Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) spoke about the recent memecoin trend on BNB Chain in his statement.
CZ, indicating that he was surprised by the increased interest, called the situation “BNB memecoin season.” He argued that the developments were unexpected and had recently focused more on the decentralized cryptocurrency exchange Aster and its token, ASTER.
There has been significant activity in memecoins within the BNB ecosystem recently. Among these, one named 4 (4) has surged 475% in the past week, reaching a market capitalization of $245 million, despite not being directly listed on any major cryptocurrency exchange. The word “4” is a concept often associated with the Binance founder and encompasses four distinct points CZ has previously highlighted in the cryptocurrency market. CZ is also known for occasionally sharing “4”-themed posts.
